Cabin Cruiser Crashes on Grays Rock, Five Hurt in Marblehead, MA

Marblehead, MA (August 7, 2026) – Five people were taken to area hospitals late Thursday night, August 6, after a boat crash near State Street Landing in Marblehead. The vessel ended up resting completely out of the water on Grays Rock, according to initial reports.

The Marblehead Fire Department were dispatched shortly after 11 p.m. and found the injured people outside the boat on the rocks. Injuries ranged from minor to serious.

The gray and white cabin cruiser sustained a large gash to its fiberglass hull. No further details about what caused the vessel to strike the rock have been released.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
