Truro, MA (August 20, 2026) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a passenger vehicle on Route 6 near the Wellfleet town line in Truro on Thursday, August 20.
Emergency units arrived shortly after the wreck was reported and assisted the injured rider. They transported the motorcyclist to the Marconi site in Wellfleet, where a medical helicopter was waiting.
The helicopter flew the rider to an off-Cape trauma center for further care. Additional information about the motorcyclist’s injuries has not been released.
The collision caused further traffic delays on Route 6, where motorists were already encountering heavy traffic related to the Carnival Parade in Provincetown.
The Truro Police Department is working to determine what caused the wreck.
