Hit-and-Run Driver Causes Crash on Woods Hole Rd in Falmouth, MA

Falmouth, MA (August 14, 2026) – A hit-and-run driver caused a multi-vehicle wreck on Thursday afternoon, August 13, on Woods Hole Road, sending one car into a utility pole.

The crash happened near the intersection with Cumloden Drive around 4:15 p.m. A black Prius reportedly struck two vehicles before fleeing, one of which was pushed into a telephone pole that snapped on impact.

Falmouth Fire said one person was taken to Falmouth Hospital by ambulance following the collision. The extent of her injuries was not immediately known.

Emergency units requested the power company to the area due to the downed pole. Authorities continue to investigate this incident.
