Man Killed in House Fire on Red Brook Rd in Falmouth, MA

Falmouth, MA (July 24, 2026) – A man in his 70s died Friday morning, July 24, after a fire broke out at a single-family home on Red Brook Road. A neighbor called 911 to report the fire just before 6:30 a.m. Emergency units responded quickly to the scene.

According to the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal's Office, crews arriving at the home found flames coming from the rear of the house and smoke pouring from the front door. With help from local police officers, firefighters pulled the man from the home and immediately began life-saving efforts.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death. The home was destroyed in the fire and is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal's Office, the Falmouth Fire Department, and the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office.
