Pedestrian Injured in Collision on River St in Haverhill, MA

Haverhill, MA (August 1, 2026) – On Friday evening, July 31, a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle on River Street (Route 113) near Niagara Street in Haverhill.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 8:58 p.m. Initial information indicated the person was trapped beneath the vehicle and unconscious. However, responding officers later advised that the pedestrian was not trapped but was instead lying in front of the vehicle and was conscious and alert when crews arrived.

Additional basic life support personnel were requested to evaluate the driver of the vehicle. One patient was transported to Lowell General Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have not released the extent of the pedestrian's injuries or additional details about the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
