Sandwich, MA (August 1, 2026) – Four people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on Route 6 near mile marker 62 in Sandwich on Saturday morning, August 1.

Officials said the collision occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on Route 6 eastbound between the former Exits 3 and 4. The crash involved six vehicles, including two vans and two SUVs, with a total of 18 people requiring evaluation at the scene.

Emergency crews extricated one person from a vehicle before providing medical care. Of the 18 people evaluated, four were transported to Cape Cod Hospital. Additional ambulances from neighboring communities responded to assist with the incident.
