Three Hurt, One Airlifted After T-Bone Crash on Scenic Hwy in Plymouth, MA

July 26, 2026

Plymouth, MA (July 26, 2026) – On Sunday morning, July 26, three people were injured, including one person who was airlifted to a trauma hospital, after a two-vehicle crash on Scenic Hwy near Herring Pond Rd.

Police and fire crews were dispatched around 6:48 a.m. after receiving a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of the Herring Run Rest Area. Responders arrived and found a white 2026 GMC Terrain and a tan 2016 Jeep Wrangler involved in a collision at the intersection.

According to the initial investigation, the GMC Terrain was traveling eastbound on Scenic Hwy and failed to stop at a red light before striking the Jeep Wrangler, which was traveling westbound and turning into the rest area. The impact caused the Jeep to become airborne, roll over once, and come to rest on its wheels.

The driver of the GMC Terrain suffered possible life-threatening injuries and was transported by MedFlight to an area trauma hospital. The passenger in the GMC Terrain was taken by ambulance to another trauma center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The Jeep driver was transported to a hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope everyone affected by this accident makes a full and timely recovery.

How Are Medical Bills Handled After a Crash in Massachusetts?

After a crash in Massachusetts, medical bills may be handled through available insurance coverage and other options that depend on the details of the accident. Keeping records of medical treatment and related expenses may help when reviewing how costs connected to the collision are addressed.

Following a major vehicle crash, injured individuals may receive emergency care, hospital treatment, specialist appointments, and other medical services. Documentation such as medical bills, treatment records, and transportation expenses may help provide a complete record of the costs resulting from the accident.

Insurance providers may review several details when evaluating medical-related claims, including accident reports, injury documentation, and available policy information. In crashes involving multiple injured people, the process may require additional review to determine what coverage may apply and how expenses are handled.

Medical costs can sometimes continue after the initial treatment, especially when injuries require follow-up care or rehabilitation. Maintaining organized records of appointments, expenses, and communications with insurance companies may help individuals keep track of the financial impact of the crash.

A car accident attorney can review the circumstances of a Massachusetts accident, explain how medical expenses and insurance matters may apply, and discuss possible legal options based on the available facts. Legal guidance may also assist with reviewing documentation, communicating with insurance providers, and evaluating whether additional steps may be appropriate.
