Two Dead After Two-Vehicle Crash on Rte 6 Near Westport, MA

Westport, MA (July 13, 2026) – Two people died on Friday evening, July 10, following a two-vehicle collision near the town line. Emergency units responded to the crash site on Route 6 around 7:35 p.m.

Tristan Bedient, 34, and his passenger, Kate Aldrich, 51, were traveling in a sedan that sustained catastrophic damage. Responders transported both individuals to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. Two occupants in the second vehicle involved were hurt, but their medical statuses are not life-threatening.

The identities of the survivors have not been released by prosecutors. 

An active investigation is being conducted by local and state police.
