Two Hospitalized After Scooter Crash in Springfield, MA

Springfield, MA (August 28, 2026) – Two people were hospitalized on Thursday, August 27, after a vehicle collided with a scooter at the intersection of Berkshire Avenue and Jasper Street in Springfield. 

The Springfield Police and emergency services responded shortly after 4 p.m. and found the scooter operator with serious injuries. The operator was taken to a hospital for treatment. A woman was also hospitalized with minor injuries.

Investigators have not confirmed whether the woman was riding the scooter or was a passenger in the vehicle. The circumstances that led to the crash were not immediately released.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine what happened.
