Van Strikes Cyclist on Liberty St in Springfield, MA

Springfield, MA (September 2, 2026) – A bicyclist was hospitalized early Wednesday, September 2, after being involved in a collision with a van on the 600 block of Liberty Street in Springfield.

Springfield Police said the crash happened around 4:45 a.m and that the rider was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the van stayed at the scene and was not hurt.

No cause has been officially confirmed as authorities continue investigating.
