Wall Collapse and Injures Two Construction Workers in Duxbury, MA

May 22, 2026

Duxbury, MA (May 22, 2026) – A wall collapsed at a building under construction on Red Hawk Lane and injured two construction workers on Thursday morning, May 21. The Duxbury Fire responded to the accident around 9:30 a.m.

After the collapse, both workers made their way to a parking lot in Kingston, where they called for help. Ambulances were dispatched to the lot and took both men to the hospital for treatment.

The extent of their injuries was not included in the initial report on the crash. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and called to respond to the construction site.

The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.

We hope both workers receive the care they need and recover fully.

Construction Site Collapses in Duxbury, MA: Can Injured Workers File a Claim?

Yes. In Massachusetts, workers hurt in a construction site collapse may have more than one legal path available to them. While workers' compensation typically covers on-the-job injuries regardless of fault, it is not always the only option. If a third party, such as a general contractor, subcontractor, site owner, or equipment manufacturer, contributed to the conditions that caused the collapse, an injured worker may be eligible to pursue a separate personal injury claim in addition to a workers' compensation filing.

Wall collapses, and structural failures can happen when framing is inadequately braced, when weather conditions compromise temporary supports, or when safety protocols are not followed. OSHA involvement typically signals that a formal review of site conditions and contractor compliance is underway.

Workers hurt in structural collapses can face serious and lasting injuries. Crash injuries, broken bones, spinal trauma, and head injuries are among the most common outcomes. Recovery can take months, and some workers are left with permanent limitations that affect their ability to return to the same type of work.

A construction accident lawyer can review the details of a construction site collapse and help identify whether any third parties share responsibility. Legal guidance can clarify what compensation may be available beyond what workers' compensation provides, and what steps may help preserve a claim early in the process.
