83-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed After Crash on Rte 6 in Wellfleet, MA
Wellfleet, MA (July 20, 2026) – An 83-year-old bicyclist died after being struck by a pickup truck on Route 6 near Lieutenant Island Road in Wellfleet on Monday morning, July 20, according to police.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:52 a.m. when the bicyclist was hit by a 2019 Toyota Tundra. The driver, a 37-year-old New Hampshire man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The bicyclist was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including law enforcement and crash reconstruction personnel. The collision remains under investigation.
