Person Hospitalized After Ejection in Crash on Rte 9 in Westborough, MA

Westborough, MA (July 17, 2026) – One person was hospitalized Thursday night, July 16, after being ejected in a serious wreck on Route 9 westbound near Computer Drive.

Westborough Fire responded around 8 p.m. to the area of 30 Turnpike Road for a crash that involved an ejection. The person was classified as a Level 1 trauma patient and was taken to UMass for treatment.

Route 9 westbound was reduced to one lane, and ramps from Computer Drive to Route 9 westbound were closed following the crash.

Officials did not release additional details about the cause.

Officers continue to look into what led to the wreck.
